✨ 5 Real-Life AI Hacks (from our Techish community!) ✨
I asked, and you answered. Here are just some of the ways Techish readers are using AI in their everyday lives and how you can too.
I took to LinkedIn and posed the following:
FOR AN UPCOMING STORY: How do you use AI in your everyday life? Looking for genius ways you're working it in -- especially if you're in a non-tech-related field. What do you use it to do and why? What are the most genius parenting hacks, age-tech hacks and other things most people haven't even dreamed of?
I'll go first. I use ChatGPT to help me find really cool clothes to wear on TV, discover restaurants that a normal Google search doesn't reveal, and even create paper dolls from my own photos. (Because ... awesome.)

How to Write Your Own AI Prompts
The magic isn’t just in the AI but its how you ask. Here are a few easy tips to turn your everyday problems into AI-powered solutions:
Be Specific
Instead of: “Make a potty training schedule”
Try: “Create a 7-day potty training schedule for a 2.5-year-old with rewards after every success and tips for parents if accidents happen.”
Add Context
The more background you give, the better the results will be.
Example: “I have a running injury (shin splints), I’m training for the Marine Corps Marathon in October, I want a 6-week plan with 3x weekly PT exercises I can do at home.”
Set Guardrails
Especially helpful for parenting and travel hacks.
Example: “Make a scavenger hunt for two kids, ages 6 and 8. Keep it in our neighborhood. Do not include crossing busy streets or going near the river.”
Ask for Formats
AI can give you info in lists, tables, or schedules.
Example: “Turn my top 5 yearly goals into a daily habit tracker and a weekly checklist.”
Iterate & Refine
Don’t stop at the first draft.
Say: “Make this shorter,” or “Add humor,” or “Adjust for a family with two adults and three kids.”
